Bolton, I coached Starling when she was interservice combat pistol champion three years straight. Don’t worry about her weapon. Those guys from the Hostage Rescue Team, the Velcro Cowboys, what did they call you after you beat their ass, Starling? Annie Oakley?”
“Poison Oakley,” she said, and looked out the window.
Author’s Note: Without a word, he slipped his jacket from his shoulders and wrapped it around her. She hesitated only a moment before sliding her arms into the sleeves, grateful for the length of them as much as the warmth. The jacket did a much better job hiding the words on her forearm than the blanket the EMTs gave her. [Sequel to Indelible Ink, Soulmate AU, Pt 1/2]
I’m fairly sure the last chapter of Indelible Ink has not been posted? No notification for chapter five appeared in my inbox, and I don’t see it up on AO3 either. Not saying that 4 isn’t a brilliant chapter, but the summery says there will be 5 chapters so… iwouldlovetoeatyourtoast, did you post the last chapter??? am I missing out on brilliant fic?
thatgoddamn-red-ponytail, you are correct. The last chapter hasn’t been posted yet (I’m about 2500 words into it, though), but redxlizzie will be happy to hear that there will be a part 3 at some point. (I post random fic-related musings occasionally over on ladyoftherefrigerator, btw, including vague sequel/upcoming fic talk.)
